Research interests:

Organometallic Chemistry, Multi-step Organic Synthesis, Silicon Chemistry.

Current research:

  • Synthesis of enantioenriched allyl- and allenylsilanes.
  • SN2’ catalyzed addition of organometallics to electrophiles.

Scientific background:

  • Since october 2019: PhD thesis at Sorbonne Université under the supervision of Prof. Franck Ferreira and Dr. Olivier Jackowski (IPCM, UMR 8232).
  • 2018-2019: Master in Organic Chemistry at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Madrid, Spain).
    • Feb.-July 2019: Research internship at Institute for Advanced Research in Chemical Sciences (IAdChem, Madrid, Spain) under the supervision of Prof. Tómas Torres.
      Topic: Synthesis of crosswise phthalocyanines as precursors of novel photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy.
  • June 2018: Research internship (Summer fellowship program) at Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials (CiQUS, Santiago de Compostela, Spain).
    Topic: Synthesis of a precursor for 14 anthracenes.
  • 2014-2018: Bachelor in Chemistry from Universidad de Valladolid (Valladolid, Spain).
    • Oct.-June 2018: Internship in the Laboratory for Organic and Bio-Organic Synthesis at Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium)
      Topic: Synthesis of C6-substituted trehalose derivatives with potential biological activity.
    • June-July 2017 : Internship in the Instituto Universitario Centro de Innovación en Química y Materiales Avanzados (CINQUIMA, Valladolid, Spain).
      Topic: Synthesis and new applications for bifunctional thioureas and squaramides.
